Music of the World is a record label specializing in traditional and contemporary world music. Since its founding in 1982, the label produced almost 100 titles, many of which are featured on this website. In 2000, the label was acquired by digital download pioneer emusic.com, and in 2006 emusic was acquired by The Orchard, a digital music distribution leader. Most titles in the catalog are available for download through online services such as Amazon, Spotify and Pandora, and physical discs are still available through online retailers.
